A Life-Changing Moment
Events usually leave a permanent mark in the lives of us individuals and it offers some lessons that cannot be erased by other experiences in life. It is inevitable that at some point in this journey we will all go through some events that are life-changing. They could be marriage, the birth of your first child or the loss of a loved one through separation or death. I have experienced many events that were a life-changing. My life totally changes after I saw my older brother’s final game, the game that ended his career because of some broken ribs. to this day I still remember the look on my father’s face which I never want to see again. So, right there I decided to play sports for the rest of my life. To do that I had to change who I was. it was a very hard decision because I was just a normal kid then, but throughout life, I had to change I had to become an athlete.
Sports have enhanced my life indubitably to the point that I would not be the same person as I am today had I not dabbled in recreational sports. I would not be a team player as most adolescents are at this time and year. I am such an accomplished problem solver because of such fascinatingly difficult sports such as basketball and football. When you play sports your eating habits will completely be different as before only if I had not been involved in such engaging and demanding sports. sports have completely changed the way I eat and what I eat.
Team sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer, and football require teams to work together and divide the game flawlessly. When you are involved in sophisticated sports such as these then the players need to mesh their minds together into one impenetrable fist. When you learn to play in team sports you are better prepared for life after sports. Most teenagers who play one on one twenty-one and so on do not have the same abilities as those who play on organized teams. They are usually the ones that end up not being able to communicate well with others, therefore, they cannot effectively accomplish jobs that require more than one person. Such people will most likely not have an adequate income in their future business.
Problem-solving skills are essential if you are going to engage yourself in intricate sports that require fast thinking and quick reacting. For some athletes this comes naturally but for others, it is much more challenging and thought-provoking. In the world after sports people need to be able to think on their toes. They need to simply be able to make split-second decisions most jobs require some sort of fast decision making. being able to quickly react is a skill that all people require and not all people have.
Athletes need two things the most; sleep and a good diet. My coach has enlightened me by telling me that I need to get more sleep and eat nutritiously he said: athletes need to keep their bodies healthy to compete at the top level. I personally would not be half the athlete that I am if did not have such a healthy diet. If I were to simply go out and get McDonald’s every time I craved it then I would be gigantic not to mention that my athletic performance would suffer. That simply said is not who I am I must keep a healthy and nutritional regimen. In conclusion, participating in sports has completely and utterly transformed me to be the person that I am today. Sports have forced me to become a team player so now I can take those talents and go into the business world. It has also allowed me to become an excellent problem solver which will come in handy later in life. Lastly, my nutritional diet has enabled me to forge myself into the athlete that I am today. Many people are on a journey of recovery from addictions, disease or injury. Writing about such matters can help you stay focused and committed to your path. That’s powerful and important that I know how Sports have completely changed the way I look at my life now. I hope you will all find a way to a better life.
