Application of Thevenin’s Theorem
Thevenin’s Theorem was used to minimize a network with several voltage sources and resistors to an equivalent circuit composed a single voltage source and a single resistance connected to a load only. It was used to analyse simplify and analyse complex linear circuit where a load resistor RL in the circuit was subject to change. Recalcuclation of the circuit was needed with the change of load of resistor to determine the voltage and current across it. This proves that Thevenin’s Theorem was able to apply in DC circuit where a variable load obtained, hence there was no need to analyse the circuit once again.Limitations of Thvenin’s Theorem
