Barbara Becker shows more appreciation for one particular family being the Beckers over the Stinsons. This is derived from her treatment and kindness that she was given by the Beckers she was encouraged with ” You were a good girl” whereas with the Stinsons good behaviour was just expected, children were never met with any kindness or praise in turn of good behaviour or a job well done. This then gives Barbara a more positive outlook and leaves a more positive scar on Barbara’s life. If she was constantly given no feedback or that sense of love and kindness it could leave her feeling bitter and sad in the future.
