I picked this book because it had the coolest screen of all the books on the list. I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its screen. but I have found that books that do non hold cool screens are frequently rather deadening. Like one of the other books merely had composing on the screen which guarantees utmost dreariness in my sentiment.
This book is about unit of ammunition circles in the air called diskos that people go through and stop up in eldritch topographic points like on top of a pyramid with priests that stab you in the bosom or interior of a giant. It is rather violent at times. which is good because some of the in between parts are sort of drilling. but non deadening plenty to halt reading wholly. merely tiring like waiting for a coach that is late and you’re truly bored but besides sort of dying because you truly want the coach to demo up.
The chief character is Tucker Flay. and his motive is largely that he wants to happen his parents who went through this hole. Besides. he is seeking non to acquire killed or turned into a living dead. Then this biker cat lives in a black barn and Burnss off his moustache. and a batch of other material happens which is even weirder. like one portion where a elephantine worm starts eating people. and the portion where Tucker’s ma goes brainsick because she’s addicted to Sudoku. There are no subjects. merely eldritch things go oning. so I guess the chief subject is merely outlandishness.
Largely. this was an all right book except for the deadening parts and the stoping which I didn’t acquire at all. I would urge it to anyone who likes weird tiring books that sort of leave you hanging at the terminal inquiring what merely happened.
