Cell phone use is creating new problems in schools
“Your cellphone could be stealing you blind.” What is the main reason of students’ grades being, floppy when teachers are going beyond their comfort zone to helping students better their grades? Students in this western areas of the world have so much power over the teachers by using smartphones in class and ignoring everything the teacher is saying. They use their smartphones in class and miss everything the teacher is saying most of the times. The miles cannot let teachers put away some of the phones. Away due to emergency and some other disciplinary reasons. The students have been taken away by this digital world and earn never get time to listen or pay attention to what the teacher is saying. Furthermore they even distract the whole class by influencing one another.
The main problem is phone usage of school for non-educated purposes. Students face a variety of programs going on in their mind and the reason why they can’t keep their phones away is addiction. Many of the parents work from the day they give birth and so they buy the children some cool electronics to keep them buy.
The child gets so much to the iPad and by the time he reaches the age to go to school. So many video games and friends and now the child might feel depressed and unusual if that’s taken away. Some of the children are in competition with other children in different places and more you place. The better the chance of winning. Hence boasts the child to be more active in playing than studying there in just a bunch of reasons why the phone usage is creating a barrier between teachers and students.
My ultimate possible sol;ution is collaboration between teachers and parents to increase all the activities that can keep students busy both at home and school. If students don’t have what to do, they will probably be on their phones. Some parents just don’t give any home to do activities to the children and end up spoiling them by playing games with them as a way to relax. Most of the times they get addicted to things they have access to and it becomes a real life problem in the future. Parents and teachers should meet more and come up with a way to reduce the addiction that is going on with the community that way they could even help teen adults who don’t go to school. I believe communication can help in so many ways than to just cut off the services the students were getting from the day they started holding anything.
Imposing a rule that all students should follow regarding phone usage at school might be an effective way to stop phones at school but it has a really bad and negative influence between teachers and students. Students will stop coming to school as an excuse to use their phones and aggressive students might even fight those rules and come up with their own and spread chaos in school compounds because it’s not every one that follows rules. No one likes rules especially when it interferes with your daily way of functioning. It might create a burning sensation between the authorities and students. Despite the effectiveness of that approach, itb really doesn’t make much sense for students to follow and end up making most of the children drop outs and street children.
With the blooming development of science and technology, mobile phones have become an indispensable part of life. The increasing number of teenagers who use a cell phone in schools which disrupts classrooms orders has become a major concern. However, mobile phones should not be banned in schools. Actually, it is not necessary to ban mobile phones in schools. Additionally, using mobile phones in schools has some positive influences. Furthermore, it is likewise a human right for students.
Secondly, it is no doubt that using mobile phones in campuses has many advantages. One reason is that using mobile phones in schools provide a new platform for education systems similarly as laptops, desktops and personal digital assistant (Rankin, 2008). Use mobile phones may help people to download power point slides, take notes, share ideas with others by Bluetooth and research questions on web side etc. Moreover mobile phones are used to check class schedules or take quizzes on the way to schools (Kharif 2008). The other reason is that students may have a good communication with their parents by using mobile phones during school time even for emergency situations. There is two third of parents contact their children during campus time, mainly to awoke them of medical appointments or other commitments. (Beattie, 2009) Consequently, students should be encouraged bring mobile phones to school.
