REPORT INDUSTRY VISIT AT “ YAKULT” Management students of the Delhi School of Professional Studies And Research, New Delhi visited On the 19 August’2010, we went for an Industrial Visit to “yakult” production plant at SONEPAT.. We was greeted by Ms. Charu mam, the Public Relations Officer of Yakult. WHO aware us about the yakult and showed us their production plant how the yakult drink is prepared. WHAT IS YAKULT? In 1930 a Japanese scientist, Dr. minoru Shirota discovered the strain of bacteria – Lactobacillus casei and is named strain shirota.

It is a pro-biotic drink that could reach the intestines alive to impart health benefits. Yakult drink improves Digestion, builds Immunity & prevents infection. He succeeded in culturing lactic acid bacteria, which is beneficial to human beings. Yakult contains no preservatives. Yakult has a shelf life of 40 days when stored under proper refrigerated conditions(below 10degree). The drink was first introduced in Japan in 1935, and later launched in the overseas markets. Today over 28 million people in more than 32 countries and regions drink Yakult every day, making it the world’s favourite probiotics drink.

Lactobacillus casei strain shirota and the product is of the highest standard, right up till the date of expiry.
