This research paper is written on the Leadership manners and the impact they have on the work force. My information is based on my direct observation while being employed in the U. S. Air Force. My paper will analyse Leadership manners by utilizing two constructs from Robbins and Judge ( 2009 ) . The two constructs I have chosen are Leader Behaviors ( p. 397 ) and Vision Statement ( p. 415 ) . Leadership Behaviors Being in the armed forces for the past nine old ages has giving me an chance to see many different leading behaviours.

Four leading behaviours Robbins and Judge ( 2009 ) defined are directing. supportive. participative. and achievement-oriented leaders ( p. 397 ) . The directing leader defines what is expected of the worker and schedules the work ( p. 397 ) . I feel that most people start off in with this leading behaviour until they grow as a leader. The supportive leader is concerned with the demands of their followings and interacts with them ( p. 397 ) . I have worked with many leaders that have used this behaviour and it make them a popular leader. but can do it difficult for them to acquire work done by some of their followings.

I have seen were the workers take advantage of a leader because they feel more like a friend and non a foreman. The participative leader takes the input of the follower and uses them before doing a determination ( p. 397 ) . The Air Force leading does utilize this behaviour by utilizing a annual clime study. The last leader behaviour is the achievement-oriented leader. I feel that for the most portion the behaviour is the hardest to work for. This leading manner does non demo much concern for the followings and does non take in their input. The leader is end orientated and expects the followings to execute at their best to run into the ends ( p. 97 ) .

Vision Statement A vision statement is a tool that leading can utilize to state why the organisation exists ( Kaplan & A ; Norton. 2008 ) . Most military units have a vision statement to actuate its members. My unit’s statement is Safety foremost. By the book. Then on clip. Our vision statement put the safety of the workers foremost and the sets the attitude of how the work is to be done. Robbins and Judge ( 2009 ) province that a vision should be value centered ( p. 415 ) and all the military units I have worked for rich person had a vision statement that puts it people foremost.

I feel it can do it easier to work for person if they value you. Conclusion Leaders may utilize any of the behaviour manners talk about in the paper. Charismatic leaders will seek to put a end and good work environment for their workers ( Fischer ) . The leaders of an organisation will hold to guarantee they use the right behaviour to actuate its workers. In Psalm 28:11 David asks to be taught the Lords manner and be lead in a consecutive way. I think this is how a batch of employees feel and it is the occupation of the leaders to guarantee they know what path the organisation is traveling.
