By the 1850’s the Constitution. originally framed as an instrument of national integrity. had become a beginning of sectional strife and tenseness and finally contributed to the failure of the brotherhood it has created. This was shown by readings of the fundamental law and other paperss when the fundamental law was assorted together. It is known that the brotherhood did non last. for there was the Civil War. If everyone could hold on what the fundamental law implied. so there likely would non hold been a civil war.
