The internet is independent of the world wide web, whereas, the world wide web is dependent on the internet to work.
There are variety of ways in which the internet can be accessed unlike the web which can only be accessed via the Web browsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
The information which travels through the internet is being transmitted using variety of languages known as protocols, whereas, the web uses only one of the languages spoken over the internet, i.e., the HTTP protocol, to transmit data.
The internet is a global network which supports a wide variety of interactions and communications between its devices, whereas, the world wide web is a subset of these interactions and supports websites and URIs.
The name of the first version of internet was APRANET while that of world wide web is NSFnet.
Both the internet and the world wide web have to make use of protocol which allows communication within them.
They both make use of the HTTP protocol.
